General FAQ

You will learn the essentials of full-stack development. You will learn programming languages such as JavaScript, React, Android, and Java. You will also get the necessary skills, equivalent to junior level full-stack engineer.
Classes are online, held via GoToWebinar. Lectures are live on Mondays and Thursdays. Assignments are given every day after the lecture. You can complete this course from your home as long as you have a phone, internet connection, and a computer.
Live Lectures are recorded and everyone can access them at any point in time. Many of our students work nights and are unable to attend any lectures. They opt to watch the recorded lectures whenever they can and complete their work.
No problem, many of our students did not start with computer experience and now they are working in great tech jobs.
Yes, take your time. We have lots of students that consider themselves older and they are doing just fine.
Yes, once you complete the program you may be invited to our apprenticeship program. This allows you to get more real project experience, hands-on, immediately. Note–the only way to become an apprentice is to complete one of the fast track programs.
You need a Mac or Windows PC with at least 8GB of RAM. 4GB will also work but you need to make sure you turn off all the applications you don’t need while programming.
Yes, you will learn supporting technologies that are relevant for certain projects.
Definitely, if you have the skills and do well in the training. Email us at recruiting@ibgsoftware.com
No, master’s degrees and even Ph.D. degrees mean nothing in today’s tech economy. If you don’t have the right skills you will not be able to work. Companies no longer care if you have a Ph.D. in comp science if you cannot complete an intermediate coding exercise in current technology.
You can do that, we have to see that you have the drive and the skills. Our standards are high and we are looking for those that have the highest potential
Yes, absolutely. We want you out there working as soon as you’re ready!
Yes, upon completion of the program you will receive a certificate.
NO, you need to demonstrate that you have completed all work and have mastered the interview questions
Yes, we are in a world where there is a massive shortage of competent software engineers, and companies are scrambling to find talent. Tech skills are in very high demand, and there are more positions open than there are candidates to fill them. If you have the skills, you can get these high paying jobs quite easily. If you don’t have the skills you will have no chance of getting them. It’s that simple. Add to that the fact that college no longer matters for these high paying tech jobs.
Go to Monster/Dice/Indeed and search for “JAVA”, “Full-Stack”, “React”, “Android”, and “JavaScript”, and you’ll see what we are talking about. You will find hundreds of thousands of open jobs across the country.

We understand if you have to stop. If you quit for any reason, you can re-enroll in a future month at no expense
Communicate. Communicate. Communicate. Let us know when you will be out for an extended period of time. We are tracking engagement statistics and planning for students to complete. When you don’t communicate to us that you will be out, it throws our resource allocation off. If you do not communicate your absences, you will not be admitted back into the program at no cost.
Mobile and full-stack development jobs, they're everywhere. Good engineers are hard to come by. There is a major shortage. That’s why we created this program–to bridge the gap.
Most likely. These jobs are everywhere and many of them are remote. The better you are, the more leverage you have to dictate your work situation.
It depends on your skills and your marketability. We cannot say exactly but we’ve had people start anywhere from $70,000 to $120,000 per year. We cannot guarantee where you will fit in this range–you do that.
No. There is no obligation.
We recommend that you ask as many questions as possible prior to enrolling. If you’re not sure, think about it and enroll for one of the following months. The training is rigorous, so we don’t think 1 week is enough to provide an accurate gauge for the trajectory of the course.
Yes, about 10% of the jobs are remote. Remote job availability depends on when you finish and what jobs are available.
Sponsorship happens on a case-by-case basis
Pretty low. We see an average of 8% dropout rate. Most people drop because they don’t have the time or their work hours have changed. The good news is that we allow those that “drop” to return to a later class, any time without paying again
This program requires that you complete a significant amount of work, and the work is at times very challenging but with a little grit and determination, anyone can get it all done. The onus is on you to complete the work. There are no shortcuts or quick jumps here. You must complete all work before being placed. Once you finish, you are ready to work as a junior engineer.
The good news is that anyone can get through with some diligence and persistence! Everyone has their own individual journey. NO SHORTCUTS TO SUCCESS.
